Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has officially announced recruitment for Commissioned Officers 2026. Online registration is open for candidates across Pakistan under Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC/SPSSC).

Permanent Commission (PC) Branches

1. 161 General Duty Pilot (GD-P)

Age: 16 to 22 years (on 15 October 2026)
Marital Status: Unmarried
Height: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
Qualification:

F.Sc (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical with Physics) with minimum 65% marks
O/A Level equivalent qualification

Training Period: 4 Years
Degree Awarded: BS in Aviation Management / BE in Aerospace or Avionics

2. 107 Aeronautical Engineering Course

Age: 16 to 22 years
Qualification:

F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 65% marks

Training: 4 Years
Degree: BE in Aerospace / Avionics

3. 117 Air Defence Course

Age: 16 to 22 years
Qualification:

F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 65% marks

Training: 4 Years
Degree: BS in Aviation Management

4. 36 Admin & Special Duties Course

Age: 16 to 22 years
Qualification:

F.Sc with minimum 65% marks

Training: 4 Years
Degree: BS in Aviation Management

5. 19 Logistics Course

Age: 16 to 22 years
Qualification:

F.Sc with minimum 65% marks

Training: 4 Years
Degree: BS in Aviation Management

Short Service Commission (SSC / SPSSC) Branches

6. 137 Engineering Branch

Age: 20 to 26 years (on 15 October 2026)
Qualification:

BE (Engineering) or equivalent
Minimum 60% marks or 2.5/4.0 CGPA

Training Period: 24 Weeks

7. 137 Education Branch

Age: 20 to 29 years
Qualification: Master’s / M.Phil in relevant subjects including:

Mathematics
Physics
English
Psychology
Education
Statistics

Training: 24 Weeks

8. 137 Education Branch (Islamiat)

Qualification:

MA Islamiat
Preference to Hafiz Quran candidates

9. 137 MET Branch

Qualification:

BS / MS in Meteorology
Environmental Sciences
Physics
Mathematics

Training: 24 Weeks

10. 137 Accounts Branch

Qualification:

B.Com (4 years)
BS Commerce
MBA (Finance)
M.Com

Training: 24 Weeks

General Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Male citizens of Pakistan
Minimum Height: 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
Marital Status: Mostly unmarried (as per branch)
Minimum academic percentage: 60% to 65% (branch specific)

Selection Procedure

The selection process includes:

Online Registration
Intelligence Test
Academic Test
Initial Medical Examination
Physical Test
ISSB (for applicable branches)
Final Medical at CMB Lahore
Final Merit Selection

Only shortlisted candidates move to the next stage.

Physical Test Requirements

For most branches:

Running: 1 Mile in 8 Minutes
Push-ups: 15 in 2 Minutes
Sit-ups: 20 in 2 Minutes
Chin-ups: 3 in 2 Minutes

Ineligibility Conditions

Candidates will be declared ineligible if:

Rejected twice by ISSB
Dismissed from Armed Forces
Convicted in a court of law
Provided false or fake information
Medically unfit
