NADRA Enhances Pak-ID Mobile App with New Features for Easier Access to ID Services

In a significant step toward digital transformation, Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has rolled out major updates to its Pak-ID mobile application, aiming to streamline identity-related services for both local and overseas citizens.

Faster, Smarter Access to ID Services

The updated version of the Pak-ID app introduces several user-focused improvements, including real-time ID tracking, facial biometric verification at the beginning of the application process, and a redesigned interface for improved usability.

With these changes, users can now complete key identity tasks from home cutting down on long waits and unnecessary visits to NADRA offices.

The app also now allows individuals to view family member records without requiring biometric verification and even book appointments at NADRA centers directly through their mobile devices.

According to NADRA officials, the upgrades are part of a larger initiative to digitize public services and reduce friction in accessing government documentation. The goal, they say, is to make essential services more efficient and accessible to every citizen.

Expanded Services for Overseas Pakistanis

Another key feature is the integration of online fee payments within the app. This allows users especially overseas Pakistanis to conveniently pay for services such as the Smart National Identity Card (SNIC), Child Registration Certificate (CRC), and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) without needing to visit a physical office.

The authority has urged all users to update their app to the latest version in order to benefit from the new tools and enhancements.

These improvements reflect NADRA’s broader vision of offering digital-first public services that are secure, transparent, and user-friendly.
