The Telecom Network Internet Speed Rankings for July 2025 Are Here

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released its latest Quality of Service (QoS) report for the second quarter of 2025, offering a data-driven look at how well the country’s top mobile networks are performing in terms of internet speed.

The findings place Zong 4G at the top of the list, making it the fastest mobile network in Pakistan for the period under review.

Zong Outpaces Rivals in Download and Upload Speeds

According to PTA’s performance survey, Zong 4G recorded the highest average download speed at 25.64 Mbps, followed by Jazz with 22.24 Mbps, and Telenor at 20.09 Mbps. Ufone trailed behind with a lower average of 15.36 Mbps.

When it comes to upload speeds, the gap between networks was narrower. Zong again led the pack with 11.58 Mbps, followed by Jazz (10.79 Mbps), Telenor (9.56 Mbps), and Ufone (8.22 Mbps).

While upload speeds showed only a modest difference among providers, download speeds revealed a more notable performance gap, with Zong exceeding Ufone by over 10 Mbps.

This distinction is especially relevant for users who stream, game, or work remotely where download speeds heavily impact user experience.

PTA Conducted Extensive Testing Across 13 Cities

The QoS survey was conducted across 13 major Pakistani cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and others.

PTA used mobile drive testing tools equipped in vehicles to simulate real-world usage scenarios. The process involved over 44,000 voice calls and more than 117,000 data sessions, assessing metrics such as download and upload speeds, latency, and signal stability.

By using standardized benchmarking tools and software, the authority ensured consistent results across varying network conditions and geographical locations.

The report offers valuable insight for consumers evaluating mobile internet providers and reinforces the role of regular performance audits in promoting transparency and competition in Pakistan’s telecom sector.
